The Emery Lady Spartans made quick work of Altamont on the softball field, scoring a 15-0 victory in three innings Wednesday afternoon at home.

Bailey Huggard pitched a complete game giving up only two hits while striking out three in the team's fifth victory of the season. Scoring five runs in the bottom of the first, the Lady Spartans added 10 more in the second, before ending the game in the third.

Jacie Huntington, Kelsey Reeve and Shaylee Jewkes all recorded three RBI in the lopsided win. Addy Healy and Jayla Weston both knocked in two runs. As a team Emery combined for an impressive 15 hits as they improved to 5-5 overall on the season.

Wednesday's win prevented the Lady Spartans from suffering back-to-back losses for the first time this season. Throughout the year Emery has alternated wins and losses during the first 10 games of the season.

Emery will now have a lengthy break before returning to the field on April 12 against Gunnison in region play. So far this season the Lady Spartans have had just one league game, a loss to Grand back on March 15.
