Cole Fossat went yard not once, but twice as the Carbon Dinos blasted the Union Cougars 12-5 in Roosevelt Monday afternoon.

Once again the Dinos offense proved to be too potent for Union as they notched 15 hits. Fossat finished 4-5 at the plate with two home runs, a double and three RBI. Fellow senior Anthony MaClean ended 3-4 with three singles and three RBI.

Austin Henrie recorded the win on the mound, going three innings, giving up four hits, one earned run and two walks. Zac Bradley pitched three innings, recording two strikeouts and two earned runs. Mitch Olsen finished with two strikeouts after pitching one inning, facing just three batters.

Monday's win marks the fourth straight for the Dinos after starting the season 0-5. Since the slow start the Dinos have averaged 12.5 runs per game during the four straight wins. Two of the four victories have come at the expense of Union.

The Dinos will take the rest of the week off before opening Region 12 play next Tuesday against the Canyon View Falcons. New to the region format this season is three meetings against each opponent. The two teams will meet on Tuesday before engaging in a back-to-back set Friday April 8 and Saturday April 9.
