The Carbon Lady Dinos completed the season sweep of the Richfield Wildcats by using a balanced offensive explosion in a 7-2 victory Tuesday afternoon at home.

Kinley Nelson notched the win from the mound recording six strikeouts in a starting effort. Helping her own cause offensively, she also recorded two singles and two RBI.

Carbon’s offense was spread throughout the lineup as eight different players recorded at least one hit. Cali Fossat finished with three RBI and McKenna Sorenson notched two. Chandelle Nichols, Taylor Passarella, Sydney Ho and Desi Lantz all recorded singles.

After losing four straight games the Lady Dinos have responded with a three game winning streak that includes two Region 12 victories (both over Richfield). Now 2-1 in league play, the Lady Dinos will have a chance to deal Juab their first league loss when the two teams meet on Friday in Carbon. So far this season Juab as played only one Region 12 game, defeating 12-0 back in March.
