The 2016 Business Innovation Summit of Eastern Utah will be held on Thursday, May 19 at the Carbon County Events Center at 450 South Fairgrounds Road in Price. This regional economic development summit is for Carbon, Emery, Duchesne, Daggett, Grand and San Juan Counties.

The event is free but registration is required. The event will give businesses and/or individuals an opportunity to network and learn from the pros plus connect with resources.

Individuals can join a group for a pre-summit OHV rodeo at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 18 at the Carbon County Fairgrounds.

The Summit will begin on Thursday morning at 7:30 am with registration and breakfast. Welcome and opening remarks will begin at 8:00 am by the Carbon County Commissioners, Carbon County Chamber of Commerce and EDCUtah.

Several different presentations will be given such as Look Beyond Today by Marlin Eldred with the Economic Development Planning Group, Grow or Start New? by Dean Lundburg with Accelerant and finally before the morning break, Frank Peczuh with Peczuh Printing will talk about What’s in Your Neighbor’s Back Yard?

A networking break will be given before attendees return to hear PTAC Panel Discussion about Work with the Government? It’s easy, so give it a try!  Followed by Online Marketing and Sales by Areesh Ahmend with Ahmed Investments and Shoeta.

Prior to the networking luncheon, the Vanguard and Champion in International Business Award presentation will be given by WTC Utah and Utah Department of Workforce Services.

During the luncheon the keynote speaker will be Lieutenant Governor Spencer J. Cox, followed by a Export pro-round table followed by closing remarks.

Networking with Business Service Providers and Vendors will be open throughout the event until 3:00 pm.
