The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 3 will be hosting their annual Poppy Days on Saturday, May 21 in front of Smith’s Food and Drug and Lin’s Fresh Market in honor of Armed Forces Day. The purchase of Poppy’s will be by donations.

Lenda Leek, ALA Price Unit 3 President said, “Last year American Legion Auxiliary members across the country raised more than $5.5 million from Poppy donations, 100 percent of which was used exclusively to support active-duty military, veterans, and their families through the Auxiliary’s outreach program services.”

The American Legion Auxiliary Price Unit 3 has been a Charter since 1923, Empowering Women and Inspiring Communities as one of the largest patriotic service organizations in the world. They are individual women who answer the call of “Service Not Self”.
