Starting the season off with a trip to Colorado, the Price American Legion baseball team suffered a 5-0 loss to Eagle Valley in the opening round of the Austin Booth Memorial Wood Bat Tournament in Rifle.

Trevor Bush was charged with the loss on the hill as several miscues in the field mixed with little offensive production proved to be too much for Price. Two fielding errors turned into three unearned runs, putting Price in a hole early on.

The tournament season opening tournament features eight total teams, with Price being the only representative from Utah. The eight teams have been divided into two pools and will play the other three teams to determine their final game.

Price will have an opportunity to log their first win of the season Thursday when they meet Fruita at 4:00 pm. Price will then wrap up pool play on Friday as they meet California at 9:00 AM. The final game of the weekend will take place on Sunday.
