The Helper American Legion baseball team kept their unbeaten record intact as they defeated Price in double-header action Monday evening 10-0 and 8-0. The wins improve Helper to 5-0 in league play, while Price drops to 2-2.

Cole Fossat delivered a complete game gem from the mound keeping Price off of the scoreboard throughout, while receiving excellent run support. The game lasted just six innings before it was called due to the 10 run rule.

Zac Bradley paced the Helper offense in the first game as he notched two doubles and a triple. Jayden Flemett notched a triple and Mitch Olson finished with two singles and a double. The first win marked the third time this season that Helper has won by double digits.

The domination continued for Helper in the second game of the double-header as Mitch Olson pitched a complete seven inning effort to lead his team to an 8-0 victory. Helper again delivered heavy run support early as they scored seven runs in the first inning.

Steady hitting throughout the first frame led to a terrific start for Helper. Taylon Abeyta recorded a single and a double, while Fossat recorded one RBI. Following the first inning rally Helper added just one more run in the fifth inning.

Up next Helper will continue the legion season on Friday as they travel on the road to meet Cyprus. Price will travel out of the state to participate in a wood bat tournament in Green River, Wyo. Upon returning Price will meet St. George in league action Tuesday, June 21 in Richfield.
