Huntington City would like to invite everyone out for their annual Huntington Heritage Days celebration set to begin on Friday, July 1 and running through to Monday, July 4.

On the evening of July 1 there will be a Huntington’s Got Talent competition that will be held in the City Park Pavilion at 4:00 pm. The Greatest Shooter Basketball competition will start at 5:00 pm in the local elementary gymnasium. Visitors don’t need to worry about dinner on this evening because dinner will be served at 5:30 pm in the city park, the cost is $5.00 a plate or for a family of five will be $20.00. There will be live entertainment provided by the Val Jensen Band during dinner.

Happening on Saturday evening there will be contests such as the Pet, Baby and Kids games will begin at 5:00 pm in the city park. An ice cream social is being sponsored by BKs Stop N Shop at 6:30 pm with live entertainment provided by Speed of Sound. A horseshoe tournament will be held at the rodeo grounds at 7:00 pm. The 5k Color Run will start at 8:00 pm and participants are asked to meet at Center and 400 East. There will be a kids bike light parade at 9:00 pm on Center Street and they will finish up with kid friendly firework display at the City Park baseball field.

The Glee Club will present a fireside on Sunday, July 3 with guest speak Allen Litster at 7:00 pm in the Huntington Stake Center on Main Street.

Taking place on Monday, July 4 will be the raising of the flag at 7:30 am. Breakfast in the park will run from 7:30 am till 9:00 am, with the cost of $5.00 a plate or for a family of five will be $20.00. The annual parade will begin at 10:00 am on Main Street, after the parade visitors can head to the city park where there will be free kids rides and live entertainment provided by Wasatch Country Pickers and Hypno Hick. Sporting enthusiasts can get in on the volleyball tournament at 3:00 pm, while the kids enjoy the kidmobile races sponsored by the local Boy Scouts. There will also be lawn mower races for the adults to enjoy at the Junior High School football field. Heritage Days will close the busy day with their annual fireworks display at the Rodeo Grounds.
