The town of Cleveland has been busy celebrating Pioneer Day all week and the best is yet to come on Thursday, July 21 through Saturday, July 22.

Thursday’s event at 6:00 pm will feature a 3 on 3 basketball tourney for basketball enthusiast to enjoy. There will be a family movie in the park a dusk entitled Home will and can enjoy concessions that will be made available for purchase. Visitors are asked to bring chairs and blankets.

On Friday, bike races will take place at the Main Street pavilion beginning at 5:00 pm, this event will be open to all ages. The famous pot luck lamb fry dinner will take place at 6:00 pm, guests are asked to bring a pot luck dish to share with everyone; if you are unable to bring a dish there will be a slight increase in the purchase price. Tickets are $5.00 a plate, $25.00 per family with pot luck dish and $8.00 a plate, $35.00 per family without a pot luck dish. The night will close with a performance by the ever so entertaining Cleveland Community Band.

Saturday starts early with the centennial run at 6:30 am. Breakfast in the park will be served at 7:30 am till 9:30 am with a flag raising ceremony at 9:00 am. A children’s parade begins at 10:30 am followed by the Mayor’s parade at 11:00 am. Guests can head on over to the park for lots of fun games and activities all afternoon.

The night will close out with a community dance featuring music by Pro Sound with a firework show at dusk.
