The Carbon Lady Dinos exploded offensively to grab a 5-0 victory over North Sevier Friday afternoon in the first home contest of the season.

Elley Cowdell scored a team best two goals as Carbon strolled to the non region win. Aubrie Payne, Grace Broadbear and Sadie Crompton all scored one goal as the team improved to 1-2 on the season.

Starting the game off with a stellar first half performance, the Lady Dinos scored three goals before the break. Adding two more in the final half, the team cruised to earn their first win of the season.

After taking the weekend off the team will look to continue the momentum built on Friday when they travel on the road to meet the Emery Spartans on Tuesday. The Lady Spartans also share a 1-2 record after three games in the non-region season.

Tuesday will mark the only meeting between the two schools this season. Last season the schools met at USU-Eastern in Emery’s first year of existence, the Lady Spartans earned a 1-0 win as Morgan Hurdsman scored the game’s only goal.
