Despite earning two wins last week the USU-Eastern Lady Eagles are slipped one spot to No. 17 in the latest rankings released by the NJCAA on Wednesday afternoon.

Two wins by a combined score of 5-2 over Northwest and Sheridan was not enough to persuade the voters to boost the Lady Eagles. USU-Eastern was passed by ASA New York, who catapulted into the rankings after winning their last four games by a combined scored of 30-2.

The two wins for USU-Eastern ups their overall record to 8-0-1 on the season. The one tie came back on Sept. 16 when the Lady Eagles finished in a scoreless draw with Salt Lake Community College. The team is currently 2-0-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

USU-Eastern will now play seven consecutive home conference games as they play host to the Snow College Badgers Friday and Saturday. Part of “Spirit Week”, the Eagles men’s squad will also host Snow. The games will follow each other and begin on Friday at 2:00 PM and Saturday at 1:30.
