The Annual Helper Christmas Craft Fair is scheduled for Friday, November 18 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, November 19 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Helper Civic Auditorium located at 19 South Main Street in Helper. Admission to this festive holiday event is free.

Vendors from all over Castle Country have been busy preparing for this event and spots were filled by September this year due to the popularity of the fair. “I don’t know if the listeners are aware but the booth fees for the craft fair actually are collected and they are donated to help pay for the fireworks that happen on Saturday night of the light Parade,” stated an Event Organizer, Vicki Miller. This event helps kick things off for Helper City’s Christmas Festivities in December.

The usually items such as homemade crafts, wood products, candles, quilts and goodies will be on sale. Miller added, “This year we have someone bringing a cosmetic line. We also have someone that does carving on sandstone and makes different items out of sandstone.” Also, new this year for guests to enjoy is pastries like delicious truffles and beautiful Native American jewelry. This is a perfect event to start Christmas shopping.

There will be live entertainment from local groups in the area who will perform throughout the fair. “We’ve got potentially three groups coming from the college to perform but we get the Sally Mauro singers and we get them from the Helper Junior High and form the high school and then we also have local dance groups,” said Miller.

Helper City is known as Utah’s Christmas Town and they go all out with a light parade for the community to enjoy in December.
