The Helper Electric Light Parade was started back in 1990 and is what got Helper the name of Utah’s Christmas Town by former Governor Norm Bangerter. It’s a tradition everyone in the Castle Country area looks forward to every year and it signifies the beginning of the holiday season.

The Lights On Ceremony will be on Friday, November 25 at 6:00 pm at the Rio Theatre. There will be live entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

A Luminary Memorial Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 30 at 6:30 pm at the Helper City Cemetery.

A Chili Dinner will be held prior to the light parade at the Helper Civic Auditorium at 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm both Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3.

The two-day Electric Light Parade will be on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 at 7:00 pm.  Line-up for the floats begins at 5:30 pm and drivers will be required to stay with their floats at all times while waiting for the parade to start. On Saturday immediately following the parade, the grand finale with be a fireworks show choreographed to music for everyone to enjoy.

There will be Christmas featured films at the Rio Theatre on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 at 9:00 pm.

Children in the community can attend breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 3 beginning at 8:00 am till 11:00 am at the Helper Civic Auditorium. After breakfast families, can enjoy a Christmas children’s film at The Rio Theatre at 11:30 am.
