Carole “Gram” Louise Gustas, 77, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2017 at her beloved granddaughter’s home in Oceanside, California.

Carole was born in Price, Utah on August 1, 1939 to Malio Angelo and Frances Ann Battisti Pecorelli.

Carole graduated from Carbon High school in 1958 and married the love of her life, the late Gary Gustas on March 25, 1960 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Carole and Gary later welcomed their only son Nick Gustas, on September 8 1961. Nick was the light of her life and brought love and joy to the family until his passing in 2010.

Carole had an amazing strength, independence, and a “hot blooded Italian” attitude that she attributed to her strong family history. She loved her family and her loyal best buddy Bambino above all else.

Carole faced many trials in her lifetime, but always remained the family’s rock with unbreakable strength, love and loyalty. She passed that love on to her two granddaughters, whom she raised from a young age.  Her love touched everyone around her and she retained strong unbreakable friendships that lasted her lifetime. Her beautiful soul, loving heart, and unforgettable personality will remain with all who were blessed to have known her.

Carole is survived by her two granddaughters, Nichole Gustas Martinez (Mario) and Brittney Gustas Gressman (Marcus), beloved puppy and best friend Bambino; sister-in- law, Lou Ann Pecorelli; nieces and nephews, Michael Jo Pecorelli (Trudy), Nadine Kennick (Bill), DaNelle Hackney (Dustin), Wendy Medley (Kyle), Sharla Tracy (RJ), and many more cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gary Gustas; son, Nick Gustas; and her brother, Mike Pecorelli.
