The Helper Merchants wrapped up the American Legion regular season with back-to-back wins over Price in Southern Division play Tuesday evening at home.

Using two solid offensive outings, Helper defeated Price 16-0 in five innings to take game one. Game two played out in a similar fashion as Helper once again ended the contest in five innings, this time with an 11-1 victory.

Zac Bradley earned the win on the bump in the first game for Helper, recording five strikeouts and allowing just one hit in 2.2 innings of play. Nate Olson and Jaxon Leonard finished the game in relief work to seal the deal.

Holding a 2-0 lead entering the third frame, Helper exploded for eight runs to pull away for good. Nate Olson led the way with three RBIs off of two hits. Jadon Robertson and Cody Lowe combined for three hits and four RBIs to help pace the offense.

Zachariah Gibson was charged with the loss for Price, giving up three earned runs and three hits in just over two innings.

As a team Price was limited offensively registering two hits as they suffered their 12th loss in 15 games.
After getting blanked in the opening game Price took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning of game two as Alyjah Ellington laced a RBI double. Helper was quick to respond scoring eight in the bottom of the frame to take the lead for good.

Lowe once again led the way for Helper, earning the win on the mound in just one inning of work. Four other pitchers contributed to the win for the Merchants, as they cruised to their 12th win of the season.

Lowe helped his own cause offensively with two doubles, while Jadon Robertson also logged an extra base. Braxton Bennett finished with three RBIs, and John Zamantakis ended with two.

With the regular season now complete, both teams will participate in the Southern Division Tournament beginning Thursday in Helper. Entering the No. 3 seed, Helper will go toe-to-toe with South Sevier.

Ending the season 3-13 Price will enter the tournament as the No. 7 seed, which sets them up against St. George. The action will begin at 2:30 as Vernal meets Roosevelt.
