Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend, Bruce Keele Sherman, 70, passed away December 8, 2017 at Intermountain Medical Center while surrounded by family.

He was born September 23, 1947 in Standardville, Utah to William F. and Armida Keele Sherman. Married Kathy Shorts, August 7, 1989 in Price; their marriage was sealed in Manti Temple on January 28, 2011.

Bruce was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a longtime resident of Carbon County who was highly respected by all. He was a member of the United Mine Worker of America, U.S. Fuel/Hiawatha Local # 6363 where he worked for 22 years. After his mining career, he went to work for the Utah Department of Transportation, retiring July 25, 2007 with 16 years of dedicated service.

Bruce was a tireless worker with an incredible work ethic. Anyone that knew Bruce, knew that he was one the strongest, most loving and energetic individuals that anyone has ever met. He lived for family and friends and
loved nothing more than working, hunting or fishing alongside his family and friends. Bruce enjoyed sports, all outdoor activities and was especially particular about the way he maintained his immaculate yard and garden.
Bruce will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Green River, WY; siblings, Jerry (Geraldine) Sherman, Ivins, Bob (Kathy) Sherman, Price, Julie (Clyde) Zorn, Pleasant Grove, Richard (Tammy) Sherman, Green River, WY; grandchildren, Camron (Alena), Brooklynn (Devin), Caden (Baylee), Talyn, Dylan, Kohl, Brenden, Nicholas and Ethan; in-laws, Murray and Pauline Shorts, Price; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim (Jackie) Shorts, Price, Diane (Steve) O’Berto, Helper, David (Doreen) Shorts,
Lawrence.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Lou (Larry) Milano; and a sister-in-law, Vicky Sherman.

Honoring Bruce’s wishes a celebration of life will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2017, 2:30 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where the family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the
