Marlyn “Joe” Lawrence Stock, age 87, passed away at the Heirloom Inn in Price, Utah, May 1, 2018, just 6 days shy of his 88th birthday.

He was born May 7, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lawrence R. and E. Fern Martin Stock. Marlyn married Jeanne Tester, November 27, 1953 in South Salt Lake, Utah. She passed away September 25, 2004.

Marlyn was a longtime resident of East Carbon, Utah. He was an avid gardener and respectably served in the United States Army. Marlyn spent his working years as a conductor for the D&RGW Railroad. He loved spending time with
his grandchildren on their many adventures.

He is survived by 4 sons, Joe (Robin), Ronald Dale (Grace), Raymond Lee and Thomas Alan (Jessica) Stock; also survived by 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife; sons, John Robert and Warren David Stock; brothers, Grant and Robert Stock; and his sisters, Elaine and Shirley.

Funeral service, Friday, May 11, 2018, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery in Taylorsville, Utah.
