Two Pinnacle High School student-athletes have been recognized for their excellence inside the classroom as the Academic All-State teams were recently announced for the spring sports season.

Remington Motte is one of ten track and field athletes to receive the award. The group accumulated a combined 3.989 grade-point-average. Motte also earned an Academic All-State selection in baseball this past fall.

Girl’s track and field participant Kaeley Taylor is one of nine to earn the academic honor as the crew gathered a 3.950 GPA. Taylor was also a selection to the Academic All-State team for cross country this past fall.

The Utah High School Activities Association in conjunction with the Deseret News present the Academic-All State award each year to students on the basis of their athletic ability and academic proficiency.
