Fierce Fighting Championship returned to the Carbon County Fairground Event Center for the promotion’s eighth card Saturday evening.

Showcasing a card with eight fights, including the opening round of the Lightweight Grand Prix Tournament, the event delivered action packed fights throughout the evening.

Nate Kearsley earned his fifth consecutive win as he defeated Randy Rowland by unanimous decision to advance in the tournament. The win improves Kearsley’s record to 5-2 overall.

Michael Garcia earned an unanimous decision win over Dustin Jenkins, also in the opening round of the tournament. Both fighters will move on to the second round, Jenkins as a wild card, to fill in for an injured fighter. Jenkins received the nod based on his outstanding performance in the loss.

Backed by a hefty traveling crowd, Bobby King defeated Kerry Lattimer by way of arm bar submission in the second round.

The group of four fighters will continue through the single elimination tournament at the card’s next promotion on Oct. 27.
