The annual Helper Arts, Music and Film Festival is going to be in full swing on Helper’s historic Main Street beginning Friday, August 17 through Sunday, August 19. The annual festival has been able to expose and promote working artists both in arts, music and film.

Friday the festival will open at 2:00 pm with all the art and vendors set up. Film screenings will begin at 2:00 pm and running through the day. Kids can enjoy the Kids’s Art Yard at City Hall parking lot, sponsored by Utah Power Credit Union. Live entertainment will be on the main stage with various musicians locally and from out of town. The Burnout Contest will take place at 6:00 pm with registration and the contest starting at 7:00 pm at the City Park.

On Saturday a 5K will begin at 7:15 am, registration will be held at the pavilion on 100 West. The Clamper’s will host their annual breakfast at 8:00 am, also at the Pavilion on 100 West and all proceeds earned will go to purchase local historical plaques. The car show registration will begin at 8:00 am and close at 10:00 am near the Western Mining and Railroad Museum on the south end of Main Street.

The festival will open at 10:00 am with film screenings, live entertainment, a doubles horseshoe tournament will take place at the Helper City Park at 11:00 am and a musical production at 1:00 pm of The Pirates of Penzance.

Sunday, August 19 will be another breakfast sponsored by the Clampers at the Pavilion. Festival will open for its last day at 10:00 am, film screenings will open at 11:30 am.
