The Carbon Dinos completed the cross country regular season Wednesday afternoon at the Region 14 finale at Lakeside Park in Orem, UT.
Competing against six other schools the Carbon boys finished second overall, falling just eight points short of first place Union. Providence Hall, Juab and Maeser Prep rounded out the top five. Delta and American Leadership Academy finished the field in sixth and seventh.
Junior James Bryner paced Carbon with a fourth-place finish with a time of 17:36.4. Ryan Page helped push the Dinos with a fifth-place nod after running a time of 17:43.0. Jared Spendlove gave the Dinos a top-10 finish as well.
The Carbon Lady Dinos finished second overall after accumulating 43 points, two shy of first place Union. Juab finished in third with 47 points, followed by Providence Hall in fourth with 83.
Regan Hansen’s third-place finish led the Lady Dinos overall as she finished in 21:17.6. Emma Haddock was right behind in fourth place with a time of 21:18.8. Grace Broadbear came in seventh, recording the third top-10 finish for Carbon.
Both teams will now turn their attention to the 3A State Championship on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Sugarhouse Park in Salt Lake City.
