Venice B. Guadagnoli Pitts Golden, age 94, passed away peacefully October 13, 2018 while surrounded by her family.

She was born March 30, 1924 in Sunnyside, Utah to Antonio and Amelia Russo Guadagnoli. Married Douglas J. Pitts, Sr., September 27, 1942 in Price, Utah; later divorced. On May 13, 1978, she married Leo B. Golden in Provo; they later divorced.

Venice is a second generation Italian American who experienced the depression first hand. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, the Alter Society, Lady of Elk, Election Judge and a Democratic Representative from Emery County.

She was a retired social worker from the State of Utah. Venice dedicated herself to her passions of gardening and cooking. She was a wonderful cook, baker and candy maker who loved to share with everyone. Venice passionately fed and cared for a multitude of wild birds.

She is survived by her four children, Sherri (Richard) Regis, Price, Karen Shingelton, Elmo, Douglas J. Pitts, Jr., Price, Monica (Rolland) Burgess, Elmo; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Rose Marie Guadagnoli, Springville, and Beverly Pace, Grand Junction; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Venice was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Mass, Wednesday, October 17, 2018, 10:00 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service, Tuesday evening 7:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Tuesday and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
