Emery County Sheriff’s Office expresses sincere condolences to the family of former Emery County Sheriff Lamar E. Guymon. Lamar passed away on October 12, 2018 after struggling with complications from a heart attack several months ago.

He diligently served the citizens of Emery County for 40 years, serving as Sheriff for 36 of those years. Lamar was one of the longest standing sheriffs in the history of Utah. In addition to his duties as Emery County Sheriff, Lamar served on several boards and committees throughout Utah, using his knowledge, leadership and determination to make things better for those around him.

A special thank you to his dear wife GayLa and to his children for all the years of unwavering support they gave Lamar that enabled him to serve and lead in Emery County.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 @ 11:00 a.m. at the Huntington Stake Center
