PRICE – Utah State Eastern sophomore Mackenzie Carter has been named the Scenic West Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.

Last week Carter led the Eagles to a road upset over #4 College of Southern Idaho with a 14 kills, eight digs and a team-high four aces.

The Eagles win over CSI was the first time over the Golden Eagles in nine years.

Against #3 Salt Lake Community College on Saturday, Carter had a team-high nine kills along with six digs.

So far this season Carter leads the Eagles in kills (293), kills per set (3.45) while being second on the team in digs with 238.

She ranks 26 in the country and second in the conference in kills.

Carter and the Eagles will head to Rangely this Saturday for another conference match against Colorado Northwest at 3 p.m.
