With the completion of the fall sports season the Emery Spartans are gearing up for the winter schedule, which began Nov. 2 as the swimming team traveled to North Sanpete.

The winter sports season will feature boys and girls basketball, drill team, swimming and wrestling. The swim team will participate in the first three events of the new season, hosting its first meet on Nov. 13 against Payson and Gunnison.

The boys basketball team will begin the season on Nov. 20 at home against Delta in a non-region tilt. Other key dates on the schedule feature a home contest with Carbon on Jan. 5 and the beginning of region play on the road against South Sevier on Dec. 21.

The defending 3A State Champion Emery Lady Spartans will begin the basketball season on Nov. 21 at home against Millard. League play will begin for the Lady Spartans on Wednesday, Jan. 2 against the South Sevier Rams on the road.
