Emery High School senior football player Rance Jensen received a 3A All-State Honorable Mention for his individual play during the 2018 season, as selected by coaches in the 3A classification.

Jensen, a two-year starter on both sides of the ball, was a staple in the team’s offense out of the backfield. Jensen also made his presence felt defensively, playing linebacker throughout the year.

Leading the team in rushing, Jensen accumulated just under 500 yards for a team that relied heavily on the pass. He also hauled in 21 catches for 246 yards, proving his versatility on offense. On defense Jensen’s 54 tackles ranked second on the team.

In 2018 Emery finished 1-9 overall and 1-4 in Region 3A North play. The season came to a close with a first round loss to the Juab Wasps on the road.
