Sylvia Lee Dalpiaz Sillitoe, age 84, passed away from Lewy Body Dementia on December 19, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on June 24, 1934 in Helper, Utah to Silvio and Adeline Bonan Dalpiaz. Sylvia spent most of her life living in what she called “God’s country” where she met her husband Hollie Sillitoe. They married on April 27, 1957.

Sylvia was a wonderful mother. She loved her family. She especially loved her role as Nana to her three granddaughters. Throughout her life, Sylvia loved all animals, particularly Dachshunds. She was a devoted Catholic and a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. As religious as Sylvia was, she never met a curse word that she didn’t like. She also enjoyed making trips to Glenwood Springs, Colorado to visit her family.

Sylvia is survived by her two daughters, Trisha (Taber) Grange, Tracy (Tim) Hammack; granddaughters, Hollie (Craig) Hamaker, Taylor and Torie Hammack; and many nieces and nephews that she adored.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hollie Sillitoe; sister, Violet Thurman; and her brothers Joe and Louie Dalpiaz.

We would like to thank the many people that helped take care of Sylvia during this difficult time. The family would also like to give a special thanks to Shauna and Rick of Symbii Home Health, and Dr. Bailey for makings so many trips to the nursing home.
