Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and beloved friend, Hope Grace Mortensen Noyes, 92, passed away January 1, 2019 at the Goodlife Senior Living Center in Price.

She was born November 30, 1926 in Emery, Utah to George William and Florenda Matilda Larsen Mortensen.

Hope & Lloyd met in the 1940’s and corresponded with each other while he served in the Pacific. After returning from the service, Hope married Lloyd D. Noyes in Price, Utah on March 2, 1946. On February 23, 1952 they were sealed in the Manti Temple.

Hope loved being a wife and mother and she was a wonderful baker and quilter. She loved to bake bread every week and share with her neighbors. She loved making pies and quilts which she gave to her family and friends. While she and Lloyd raised their own children, she also took several foster children into her home. Hope was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in Relief Society, Mutual, Young Women’s and Primary. Hope and Lloyd served together in the Manti Temple for 12 years where they made many dear friends whom they have kept in touch with. She was the last of her generation. Friends and family meant the world to her after her sweetheart of course.

Hope is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Lloyd Noyes, Price; two daughters and one son, Peggy Young, Wellington, David (Janet) Noyes, Price, Brenda (Mark) Dube, Clarksville, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Roxanne of Cleveland, Utah; special friend and neighbor, Beulah Jensen of Price. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

The entire family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Goodlife Senior Living Center, the skilled staff of Symbii Home Health and Hospice and especially to Ashley Hoffman and the Community Nursing Staff who helped Lloyd and Hope while at their home. “You are truly our angels and we couldn’t have done it with you”.
