Phyllis Irene Frandsen Sillitoe, 81, passed away January 11, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born to Glen and Irene White Frandsen on May 21, 1937.  Phyllis lived in an old log cabin east of Price.  She was the oldest of six siblings.  She married Jay Dean Sillitoe on March 31, 1957, and they were sealed in the Manti Temple on April 1, 1960.  They had four children.

Phyllis ran her own in-home preschool for twenty years.  She taught numerous students throughout the county.  She was a member of the Carbon School Board for twelve years.  She believed in the value of a great education.  She held many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She touched many lives through her dedicated church service.  She was an ordinance worker at the Manti Temple for 3 and a half years, and she also served in Family History for thirteen years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Jay Sillitoe, her children, Kelly Greener, Sandy, UT., Alan (Teri) Sillitoe, Helper, UT, and Diane Anderson, Spanish Fork, UT., sister, Joylene Owens, Salt Lake, UT., brothers, Stan (Linda) Frandsen, Woodruff, UT, Ted (Janet) Frandsen, Salt Lake, UT., sister-in-law, Carole Frandsen, Boise, ID., brother-in-law, Pierre Carlson,  Salt Lake, UT., 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother, Kent Frandsen; sister, Marlene Carlson; son, Gary Sillitoe; granddaughter, Brenda May; and brother-in-law, Bob Owens.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Symbii Home Health and Hospice, especially Michaela, Shauna and Rachel.

Graveside service, Monday, January 14, 2019, 2:30 p.m., Mt. View Cemetery in Helper.  Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price Monday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to graveside.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Phyllis online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
