The Lady Spartans took to the floor Thursday night and walked away with a 79-43 victory.

Emery hosted the Broncos from San Juan at the Spartan Center and with the home crowd behind them it was another notch in the win column on a night where the usual suspects were at it again.

Senior center Meagan Jensen led the way with 21 points on 9-of 15 shooting and added 9 rebounds. Senior Kacelyn Toomer dropped in 16 point to go with five assists and five rebounds and Kinlee Toomer added 15 points and three assists to go with her three rebounds. The Spartans led by nine at the end of the first quarter and built it to a 23 point lead by halftime, holding San Juan to just 14 first half points.

San Juan (8-7, 3-3 in region) have lost three of their last five games and now sit in fourth place in Region 15 standings, will have a quick turn around as they host Grand (5-9, 0-5 in region) Friday night.

Emery will now be off until 22nd when they travel to Monroe to take on South Sevier (12-3, 4-1 in region).

In the first meeting between the two teams back on January 2nd in Castle Dale the Spartans came away with a 65-41 victory. Game time on Tuesday is set for 7 pm.
