Daniel Van Wagoner passed away on Thursday January 17, 2019 at his home in Cleveland, Utah. Danny was surrounded by his wife and daughters. Those he loved most.

Danny was born on November 7, 1938 to Afton and Rubelle Van Wagoner in Standardville, Utah.

He married the love of his life Sally Denison on June 20, 1958. They were blessed with 5 beautiful daughters, 17 Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren.

Danny was the proud owner of DW Van Wagoner Construction for over 20 years where he took great pride in his work. You can still see many of his projects throughout Carbon, Emery and Grand Counties. You will find his basement full of trophies from one of his greatest pass times coaching, and sharing his love of softball with his girls. He was proud of the many years he got to coach and watch them play.

Some of Danny’s favorite times in his life were fishing, camping, hunting, gardening and golfing. During his retirement years he enjoyed time spent in the warm weather of Arizona and St George. He also loved watching his Grandkids and Great Grandkids in all their sports and activities.

Danny never let the loss of his eyesight hinder him in any way. His loved ones have found peace in knowing he now has perfect vision and can see the beautiful faces of his 31 great grandchildren for the first time.

Survived by wife Sally Van Wagoner, Cleveland, Utah, daughter’s Careleen (Lynn) Peacock, Price, Utah, Dana (Craig) Holiday, St George, Utah, Gayleen (Rodney) Cox, Orangeville, Utah, Barbie (Cody) Potter, Huntington, Utah, Debbie (Casey) Allred, Cleveland, Utah, including his  17 Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren; brothers, David, Dale (Collette), and Greg; sisters Helen and Judy;  sisters in-law, Geri, Peggy, Kathy and Bobbie.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents Afton and Rubelle; in-laws, Esther and Boyd Stewart; brothers, Ronald and Gary; sisters, Virginia and Lorraine.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 2:00 PM Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price, Utah. You may visit the family 1 hour prior to service.
