Ina Faye Smith Wilcox Thompson, age 82, passed away February 16, 2019 in Grand Junction, Colorado.

She was born February 19, 1936 to Wayne G. Smith and Elizabeth Matilda Reynolds in Price, Utah. Married Dwendle A. Wilcox August 20, 1954, he then passed away on October 5, 1990. On August 27, 1993, Faye married Harry Thompson.

In her early years she was a cowgirl and loved working on the range gathering cattle and tending the herd. Faye worked at the Conoco gas station for many years and then later was the manager at the Roadway Inn, both in Green River, Utah. She spent many wonderful years in Hanksville, Utah working side by side with Harry running Hollow Mountain. Their trips to Quartzsite, Arizona were a wonderful treasure hunt for her. She loved gathering things not only for the store, but also for her family. Faye loved Harry and their dogs with all her heart. She was so content to just be with them, whatever they were doing or wherever they were. It made her heart happy. A kind smile was always a part of who Faye was. She was very thoughtful and kind to not only her family, but everyone she met. Her crochet talent was beyond measure. Hours and hours were spent making the most beautiful doilies one has ever seen, only to be given away with a smile. Faye loved the church, the hymns, and the Lord. Her beautiful angelic soul will be missed by all, especially Harry, the dogs, and her family.

Survived by her husband Harry Thompson; siblings Tamara and Robert (Karen); her children Rita (Shane), Wanda (Ken), Dawna (Phillip), Athena (Paul), and Rhett; step-children Laura Jean (Mark), Mary Gail (Rick) and Audrey Elizabeth; and many beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Betty, late husband Dwendle, granddaughter Krystalyn, brother-in-law John, sister-in-law Shirley, and son-in-law Earl.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts, prayers, and actions.
