Verna passed away at home on March 6, 2019 of natural causes at the age of 77.  She was born in Huntington, Utah on August 22, 1941 to James Albert Jones and Myrtle Ilean Rowley.

She graduated from Carbon High School in 1959. She worked at the East Carbon theaters as manager of the concession stand. She worked as a teacher’s aid at Bruin Elementary school in East Carbon for 27 years and was a representative of Avon for many years.

Verna was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. She loved playing the piano and enjoyed playing the piano in the primary, relief society and sacrament meetings.  She will be missed by all.

Verna is survived by her brother Wayne (Loretta) of Brigham City, and sisters Shirley Daley of Provo and Reva Paulsen (George) of West Valley. Verna never married but had 9 nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Verna was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Glen Daley, her great niece, Kasey Ann Paulsen.

At Verna’s request there will be no funeral.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Huntington City Cemetery. Friends may call at Fausett Mortuary, 680 East 100 South, Price, Utah from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Interment will be in the Huntington City Cemetery.
