The Carbon Dinos softball team traveled to St. George last week to play six games in three days and came home with a record of 4-2.

It all started on Thursday when they met up with Pineview on their home field. Pineview, a 4A team from region nine came out with hot bats early tying up the game in the second inning, and then scoring five runs in the bottom of the seventh, but Carbon was methodical scoring three runs in the first, third and seventh innings to secure the 9-8 victory. Kaytlyn Cripps went 2-4 for the Dinos with two RBIs and Clarissa Noyes added a home run and a double.

On Friday the Dinos took part in the March Warm Up Classic, which was also held in St. George. In game one the Dinos were seriously outgunned by a 6A Davis team from Kaysville, losing 16-7

Game two was a heart breaking loss to 4A Desert Hills, 9-7 in a game that had Lyndsey Madrigal go 2-5 with one home run and 1 RBI. Dekota Kraushaar went 3-4 with 1 RBI and Kaytlyn Cripps went 2-4 with two RBIs.

In the final game on Friday the Dinos got back to their winning ways with an 11-1 victory over 4A Green Canyon.

Saturday brought two more victories for the Dinos as they took it to Bonneville, a team from Idaho Falls. Once again Dekota Kraushaar came up big for Carbon, going 2-4 with two RBIs and a home run. Brooke Moosman went 3-4 with two RBIs , and pitched four innings giving up 3 hits while walking four and striking out eight.

In the final game of the weekend, the lady Dinos defeated a team from Pahrump,Nevada 14-8.

The Dinos, now 4-2 on the season will face the San Juan Broncos (3-2) in Monticello on Tuesday, then they will be home for a region 14 game against Juab on Thursday, that game is scheduled for a 3:30 start.
