Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Ronald J. World, age 82, passed away March 26, 2019 in Price.

He was born June 20, 1936 in Price, Utah to Harry Joseph and Dora Taylor World. Married Wyanna Bernell Jensen, February 18, 1956 in Cleveland, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Ron was a longtime resident of Carbon and Emery counties where he attended schools in Price and graduated from Carbon High School. He was a tireless worker who was employed by Dinosaur Tire in Price and Moab and JW Brewer Tire Company in Salt Lake. In 1973, he went to work in the coal mines. Ron worked at Des Bee Dove, Wilberg and retired from Trail Mountain Coal Mine in 2002. He spent his entire coal mining career working the graveyard shift. Ron was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America Local #2176.

Ron enjoyed camping, going on rides with Wyanna and trips to Lake Powell. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family. Ron will be dearly missed by family and a community of friends.

Survived by his wife, Wyanna World, Cleveland; children, Roberta (Dave) Wilson, Orem, UT, William J. (Marsha) World, Cleveland, Stacy (Rick) Blackburn, Rebecca (Jace) Majors, both of Santa Clara, UT; siblings, Robert Taylor (Pat) World, Mount Pleasant, UT; 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a new great-grandson due in May.

Preceded in death by his son, Bart K. World; parents, sister, LaRae (Louie) DeMarco; and great-grandson, Zach Fenton.

Funeral service, Monday, April 1, 2019, 12:00 noon, at the Cleveland Ward Chapel where the family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to service. Interment, Cleveland Town Cemetery, Cleveland, Utah.
