The Carbon Dinos suffered a 5-1 loss to the Delta Rabbits in a Region 15 Thursday afternoon on the road in Delta.

Looking for their second straight win, Carbon failed to create enough force offensively and defensively to beat the Rabbits. In the first half Delta scored three goals. Carbon’s own Austin Engar scored the only goal for the game.

During the second half, Delta scored two more goals, taking the score to 5-1 and ultimately putting the game out of reach.

“It was alright,” stated Mackinnon Lyman. “We didn’t play our best game, but we hope to play better tomorrow,” stated Adam Morley.

Thursday’s loss dips Carbon to 1-8-2 overall for the season and makes their record 1-5-2 in Region 15 play.

The Dinos will be facing the Salem Hills Skyhawks on Friday at home. Carbon will return to region play, facing the Maeser Prep Lions on Tuesday at home. This will be the second meeting between the two teams.
