Christine Toomer passed away April 20,2019 after a short illness surrounded by her family. She was born April 7, 1951 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Don W. and Dolores Gilbert.

On July 30, 1969 she married Jackie L. Toomer in the Logan LDS temple. They shared 49 years together. Christine was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. She worked at the Emery County Nursing Home for 20 years and retired as the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Her greatest joy in life was her husband, kids, and especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved the simple things in life, her yard, her flowers, and cooking for her family. You knew there was always a treat at grandma’s house.

Christine is survived by her husband, Jackie, and her 5 children, Corey (Kellee) of Grace, Idaho, Casey of Orangeville, Rodney (Jill) of Ferron, Mark of Ferron, and Tiffany of Lucedale, Mississippi. Her mother, Delores Gilbert and mother in-law, Norma Toomer both of Idaho. Also 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Christine was preceded in death by her father Don W. Gilbert, father in-law Jack Toomer, and son-in-law Shawn Williams.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Millsite Ward Chapel, 35 West 200 North, Ferron, Ut. The Toomer family will meet with friends Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the church and from 9:30 to 10:45 am prior to the service.

Interment will be at the Ferron Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary where friends may share memories of Christine at www.fausettmortuary.com
