The Carbon Lady Dinos golf team secured a spot in the second and final day of the 3A State Championship Tournament Tuesday afternoon at the Round Valley Golf Course in Morgan.

Entering as the No. 2 seed from Region 14, the Lady Dinos fired a team score of 391, which places them fifth overall. The Richfield Wildcats delivered a dominating 316 for first place, easily besting second place Grand’s 361. Morgan is currently third, followed by Providence Hall in fourth.

Competing against 11 other teams, a total of nine made the second day cut. Emery, South Sevier and Juab all wrapped up the season, failing to make the cut.

Jordan Bianco paced Carbon with an individual score of 91. Sam King was second on the team with a 94, followed by Aubrey Fausett’s 99. Rhiannon Timmons registered the team’s fourth score with a 107.

Entering the second day Bianco sits just two strokes out of the top ten overall. Richfield’s Hayden Harris holds the top spot on the leaderboard with a low of 77.

Carbon will return to the Round Valley Course on Wednesday morning to complete the competition. Stay tuned to Castle Country Radio for the complete results as soon as they become available.
