The Carbon boys tennis team had their region tournament on Friday. Every member of the team played well and placed high enough to qualify for a spot in the state tournament.

Carson Martines won two matches in first singles play, which put him in fifth place out of Region 14. He will face Logan Pearson from Judge Memorial the number 1 seed from Region 13.

Jack Christensen won one match which placed him in fourth place out of second singles. He will take on Russell Madsen the number three seed from North Sanpete out of Region 15.

Preston Condie won two matches and took second place in third singles. He will face Liam Rawlinson the four seed from North Sanpete.

Not only do the singles players shine but the doubles players had a great day as well. Bonham Brewer and Keenan Hatch won two matches which was enough for them to place second in the region, they will face Seth Hadley and Carter Thackeray the number four seed from Morgan out of Region 13.

The doubles team of Jack and Leonard Livingston came away with one win which placed them in the number four position and they will take on Heston Ott and Brayden Staples from South Sevier the number three team from Region 15.

Carbon’s combined score was enough to put them in second place overall in Region 14.
