The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is jam-packed with various events for the month of June with their membership drive, team building seminar and monthly luncheon. Executive Chamber Director, Deserae Stevenson stopped by the Castle Country Radio Station to talk about all of the events.
“So June 6 through July 6 the chamber will be hosting their annual membership drive. That is where we will reach out to business owners and kind of go over what the chamber can do for their business and kind of see what their needs are and see how we can help with that,” said Stevenson. By becoming a part of the Chamber of Commerce it gets you involved in your community. There are several different membership packages to choose from and can be found by visiting the chamber website at https://carboncountychamber.net/.
On June 19 there will be a team building seminar offered called Power of the Pack that is being presented by Richard Shaw. “We’re super excited for this so if you need team building experience for your team or you need that one training to do with your employees for the year this is definitely one of those to do that with. It is $50.00 per person who attends that, we are taking the reservations at the chamber for this event,” explained Stevens. The presenter has over 45 years’ experience in managing small and large companies and gives a unique perspective on teamwork.
The chamber’s June Luncheon is set for June 20 at 12:00 pm inside the Ramada Inn at 838 Westwood Boulevard in Price. Stevenson explains how to register for the luncheon, “Call the chamber and reserve for however many they’re going to bring. It is $15.00 a person to attend if you are a member of the chamber, if you are a non-member it is $20.00. But we can invoice the company instead of them bringing in a card or a check if that’s easier for them.” This month’s guest speaker will be USU Eastern’s Associate Vice President for Career and Technical Education/Vice Provost, Gary Straquadine (STRACK-WHA-DEAN) speaking on the topic of Career and Technical Education. The June’s Business Spotlight is on Elwood Staffing & Sutherlands with the Community Service Spotlight on the Town of Scofield. Individuals interested in attending must RSVP by Friday, June 14, 2019.
