Come ready to see classic and custom cars, enjoy the pinup contest and participate in the gallery strolls at the 33rd Annual Helper Annual Outlaw Car Show & Cruise taking place on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15 in Helper.

The weekend festivities kicks-off Friday evening at 6:00 pm on Helper’s Main Street with the cruise. “We’re going to line up cars and we will have a car cruise going and then when we get back – oh, we have a Poker Run than too and then at 7:00 pm we’re going to have a Poker Walk on historic Helper Main Street,” said Event Coordinator, Mike James. “We usually get over 100 cars and I think this year is going to be really big, just the fact you know that we’ve been going for 33 years, it’s not like we just started this.” Guests can see the poker run/cruise take place down main street as it heads to Spring Glen then up to Kenilworth and back down to Helper. The Poker Walk will take place along Helper’s Main Street as players will visit participating businesses and galleries to gather their cards. Anyone is invited to participate in either the poker run or walk.

Event officials have teamed up with K2 gallery to show classic car paintings from Kate Kilpatrick-Miller who is the owner and operator of the gallery located at 102 Main Street.

She explains what guests will see, “I like to paint vintage cars and I thought it would be a great time to have an opening of the cars and motorcycles that I have painted. I’ll be painting actually in the gallery; you can come and watch me do that on some great VW Bugs that I’m painting at the moment.” Kilpatrick-Miller will also have a booth set up in the park on Saturday as she continues painting the various entries throughout the car show.

The car show is open to all vehicles and begins at 10:00 am on Saturday at the Helper City Park. There will also be a pin-up contest scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm inside the park. Children can enjoy free swimming all day at the Helper City Pool next to the park.
