Emery High School senior Koda Alton has been named Second Team All-State joining 13 others on the team among the 3A classification.

Alton, who helped lead the Spartans to the 3A state championship tournament, was the lone Emery player to be named to the All-State list.

Leading the team at the plate throughout the season, Alton finished with a .339 batting average, while also recording 21 hits, seven doubles and one home run.

Primarily playing infield and pitcher in the field, Alton ended with an .870 fielding percentage. On the mound he ended with a 3-2 record as a starter and gathered a 3.5 ERA.

The 3A All-State teams were selected by each of the coaches in the classification and the Deseret News selects a MVP from the group.
