David Gust Kouris, 61, passed away at Utah Valley Specialty Hospital in Provo on July 11, 2019 after a battle with congestive heart failure.

He was born on May 17, 1958 in Price, Utah to Gust George and Cleo Velasquez Kouris. David was a longtime resident of Helper where he shared his life with his longtime partner Carmen Chavez prior to her passing in 2011.

David loved the outdoors and spent his free time camping, fishing and riding four-wheelers. He took great pride in his work as a landscaper and he cared for many families in the area. David was caring, generous and always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He was kind hearted and will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Cleo Kouris, Price; step-daughter, Sarah (Jared) Carlson, grandson, Kincaide Carlson, all of Wellington; three brothers and one sister, George (Pauline) Kouris, Price, Anthony (Nikki) Kouris, Wilson, NC, Jesse Kouris, Lydia Morgan, both of Price; brother-in-law, Hubert Graves, Evanston, WY; and many loving nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his father, Gust Kouris; sister, Judy Graves; and an infant brother, Joseph Kouris.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 20, 2019, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the viewing.
