On Saturday, July 13, 2019, Kelly Louis Oveson, of Huntington, Utah passed away suddenly in his home at the age of 60 years.

He was born in Castle Dale on December 26, 1958 to Valdean & Isabelle Oveson. After the 2nd Grade, he and his family moved to Huntington, where he lived until 1983, until he left for the “city” to pursue a career in Fire Protection. Over the next 32 years, he met his wife Corrine and raised a daughter and three sons in West Valley City. Having retired and the kids out of the house, he and his wife Corrine decided to move back “home” to Huntington. Kelly cut his retirement short to serve the Huntington community as a city councilman. While serving as a member of the city council, he spent every waking moment making his childhood home and community a better place. He devoted his life to helping and making a positive impact on his family, friends and neighbors. He upheld the highest standards and valued fairness, integrity, honesty and hard work above all else.

Kelly is survived by his wife of 23 years Corrine Oveson, daughter Laura (Kyle) Dean, and his three sons; Chaseton (Chrissy) Oveson, Preston Oveson, and Hayden (Bobbie) Oveson, granddaughter Kelley Dean, sisters; Jackie Bunnell and Madelene (Bob) Wilson, brothers; Kurt Oveson and Kris (Sharon) Oveson, as well as his many “four legged” grandchildren, especially his loyal companion Bugs.

Preceded by his Parents Valdean and Isabelle Oveson, and his grandson Kolton Dean.

A celebration of Kelly’s life will be held at The Huntington City Park on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
