The town of Cleveland is gearing up for another fun year of Cleveland Days on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20 and everyone in the Castle Country area are invited to partake in the many fun activities taking place in the city’s park.

“At 12:00 pm from 2:00 pm we have a Kid’s Day at the park. We’re going to have rock climbing walls, we’re going to have rock painting, face painting, coloring, free hot dogs for the kids – until we run out. So that is July 19, Friday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm,” said an Event Organizer, Bridi Sharp.

The famous pot luck lamb fry dinner will take place at 6:00 pm, guests are asked to bring a pot luck dish to share with everyone; if you are unable to bring a dish there will be a slight increase in the purchase price. Tickets are $5.00 a plate, $25.00 per family with pot luck dish and $8.00 a plate, $35.00 per family without a pot luck dish. The night will close out with a Movie Night at the Park, where Dumbo will be seen. “That is on Main Street of Cleveland at the park. We have a big blow up screen and all the kids just bring your camp chairs, bring your bean bags, bring a blanket. The Youth Council will be selling concessions so we’ll have candy, and popcorn and pop and all kinds of stuff,” said Sharp. Concessions will be sold until 10:30 pm.

Saturday starts early with the Cleveland 5K run at 6:00 am. Breakfast in the park will be served at 7:30 am till 8:30 am. “We have a flag raising ceremony by our local Boy Scouts and that is at 9:00 am. Then our kid’s parade starts at 11:30 am, any kids that want to be in that and the grand parade starts at noon,” said Sharp. After the parade, guests can head on over to the park for lots of fun games, vendors and activities all afternoon.
