As the summer continues to pass, the 2019-20 high school sports season is set to begin in early August for a number of programs, while the golf season begins the last day of July.

The first official contest for the Emery Spartans will take place when the golf team travels to Roosevelt on Wednesday, July 31. From that point on the team will have one meet every week throughout the next two months in the lead up to October’s State Championship Tournament.

The Lady Spartan’s soccer team will play host to North Sanpete on Aug. 7. Emery will continue the season on Aug. 16 at Parowan. The regular season will come to a close on Oct. 3 at home against Carbon.

Football will not be far behind as the season is set to open on Aug. 16 at home against the Millard Eagles on KOAL 107.3 FM and 750 AM. Entering season four under head coach Jon Faimalo, the Spartans will play its first road game two weeks later against American Leadership.

The cross country team will begin the season on Aug. 14 at Highland. Sept. 3 will mark the lone home meet for Emery. This year’s region meet will take place in Carbon on Oct. 15.

Girl’s tennis will start the season Aug. 13 as they travel to North Sanpete. The first home competition will follow on Aug. 29. The Region Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 4 at South Sevier, with the State Tournament will take place Oct. 11 at Liberty Park.

The volleyball season will begin when the Lady Spartans travel to North Sanpete on Aug. 17. The early portion of the schedule will feature seven straight road games, including a St. George two-day tournament on Aug. 30 and 31.

Each team’s 2019 fall schedule can be found below. KOAL 107.3 FM and 750 AM will once again serve as the home for Emery High School athletics.
