The Emery Spartan Ladies soccer team traveled to Monroe, defeating the South Sevier Rams 6-2. The Spartans are currently 3-5 overall and 2-0 in Region 12 play tied with Carbon.

The Spartans have been looking for consistency lately winning three of their last four games and are in to the conference part of the schedule.

It was a definite team effort as six different players scored goals in the game against the Rams. Seniors Makieya Bertuzzi, Shelbee Murdoch and Teryn Allred along with junior Alexis Winter and sophomores Tylee Norton and Taija Olsen rounded out the scoring for the Spartans. Scoring three goals in each of the halves,while defensively they surrendered just two goals.

Up next for the Spartans is a home contest with the San Juan Broncos who sit at 0-1 overall. Game time is set at 4 p.m.. You can follow Emery High sports at castlecountryradio.com.
