The Carbon Lady Dinos soccer team took care of region foe Grand 8-0 for their eighth win in a row. Carbon hasn’t lost a match since August 7.

Freshman Emma Flemett was credited with the shutout, Flemett has three wins on the season and is averaging three saves per contest.

Offensively the Dinos were led by the trio of seniors Kayla Barney and Grace Broadbear as well as freshman Beverly Lancaster who scored two goals each. Junior Ryan Brady and freshman Kacie Brady would also knock in one goal each.

Currently the Dinos are ranked number 6 in the 3A state RPI mere percentage points behind Richfield the only Region 12 team ahead of them in the statewide standings.

Up next for the Dinos (8-1 overall, 4-0 in region) is a home tilt with the Emery Spartans (5-5, 4-0). The Spartans will enter the match on a streak of their own wining four of their last five.

The game will kickoff at 4:00 on Tuesday Spetember 17 on the Carbon high School Field.
