It’s that time of year for the Carbon County Senior Center’s Pie in the Face Fundraiser. This big event is scheduled for September 25 at 1:00 pm at the Senior Center. Members of the community are invited to participate in what will involve pie-throwing at Carbon County officials.

“So, on September 25 at 1:00 pm we have our annual Pie In The Face fundraiser and what it is you’re able to vote for who you want to see pied,” said Director Robbie Jensen. “We have a list of people that are going to be willing to be pied myself and Floyd Brown who works at the Senior Center, as well as Sheriff Wood and all three of the commissioners, so Casey Hopes, Tony Martines, Larry Jensen have all agreed to be pied as well.” The event will take place at the Carbon County Senior Center at 40 South Fairgrounds Road in Price.

All of the proceeds from the Pie In The Face fundraiser go towards the center’s special projects/activities that they conduct throughout the year. “It’s a $1.00 per vote or six votes for $5.00 and we draw names out and whoever has the most votes gets the pies thrown at them first and it works its way down,” explained Jensen. For $20.00 folks can pie whomever they wish instead of having to place votes.
