The Pinnacle Panthers volleyball team went to Eureka on Tuesday in search of their first win and they found it, beating the Tintic Miners in straight sets.

The Panthers who sit a 1-7 overall and 0-1 in region play, still have six matches left in the second half of the season. They hopefully can take the momentum from this win and let it carry them the rest of the way.

Senior Stephanie Sasser led Pinnacle in both kills, with four and nine digs. Junior Angel Welch and sophomore Kemery Stuckenschneider ended with two assists each.

The Panthers schedule doesn’t get that much easier as four of their last seven games are on the road, three of which are against region foes. Pinnacle is currently sitting in fourth in conference.

Coming up next is a tournament in Wendover this weekend starting Friday. We will post results as soon as they become available.

The next time to see Pinnacle at home will be September 24 when they will host Green River. Varsity is set for a 6:15 start.
